Our story

A house, not just a shop.

Aluma means "to rise." We're building a place where the next generation can rise — over a pour-over, around a table, in the middle of a worship night. Coffee is the front door. Community is the whole house.

Why we built it

We kept hearing the same thing from people in their twenties: there's nowhere to just be. Bars are loud. Churches feel distant. Coffee shops kick you out at 6. So we built a place where you can stay — to study, to talk, to worship, to start something new.

What we believe

That hospitality is sacred. That a great cup of coffee can open a real conversation. That worship belongs in everyday rooms. That young adults don't need to be impressed — they need to be known.

The people behind it.

A small team of baristas, builders, worship leaders and friends.

Sourcing

Beans we'd be proud to serve our friends.

We rotate single-origin beans from small roasters who pay fair prices and tell the truth about their supply chain. Right now: Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala. Next month: somewhere new.
